Dr. Jeffrey Bubley

Dr. Jeffrey Bubley is a double board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon specializing in the treatment of skin cancer. His practice focuses on Mohs surgery and reconstructive dermatologic surgery, with an emphasis on removing skin cancer precisely while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible and repairing the area with careful attention to function and appearance.

Dr. Bubley brings advanced surgical training to patients in the New York City metropolitan area. He earned his undergraduate degree from New York University and his medical degree from the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine. He completed his dermatology residency at Emory University School of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed an American College of Mohs Surgery–accredited fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery under Dr. Leonard Goldberg, gaining specialized training in skin cancer treatment, margin evaluation, cosmetic-oriented reconstruction, and surgical decision-making.

Before relocating to New York, Dr. Bubley practiced in a high-volume Mohs surgery clinic in Houston, where he performed approximately 2,000 Mohs cases annually. That experience shaped his calm, methodical approach to skin cancer care: helping patients understand what to expect, removing cancer with precision, and choosing repairs that support healing and a natural-looking result. Because Mohs surgery often involves both cancer removal and reconstruction on the same day, Dr. Bubley places equal importance on surgical accuracy, clear communication, and thoughtful repair.

Dr. Bubley’s academic work reflects his commitment to advancing skin cancer care. His research has explored keratinocyte stem cell development, skin cancer histology, and drug development for skin cancer treatment. He has published his research in numerous peer-reviewed articles and presented at dermatology meetings across the country. He has also held multiple leadership roles within the American Academy of Dermatology, contributing to education and professional service within the specialty.

Outside the office, Dr. Bubley enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, skiing, and relaxing with his cats, Dylan and Rocco.
