Benjamin Gleason, MSPAS, PA-C, known by friends and collegues as Ben, is a Board Certified Physician Assistant licensed in the state of New York, specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology. Ben grew up in the beautiful Hudson Valley, New York before venturing off to Pennsylvania where he obtained his Bachelors degree in Medical Studies and Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies at King's College in just 5 years. He then went on to work in emergency medicine for 2 years during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, Ben gained experience in various fields of medicine - including a variety of acute dermatologic conditions. Having a passion for this particular aspect of medicine, Ben decided to further pursue the field of dermatology by joining the SINY Derm team. He underwent extensive specialized training under the direct supervision and teachings of Dr. Peter Saitta, himself. Ben is also an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the national Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Having struggled with acne/rosacea himself, Ben approaches treatment in an empathetic and passionate manner. He finds great reward in increasing patients quality of life through personalized treatment of socially and physically debilitating chronic dermatology conditions such as acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema and hair loss.
