Dr. Daniel Fischer

Daniel Fischer, DO, is a board-certified dermatologist at the Skin Institute of New York (SINY®), treating
patients at multiple SINY® locations, primarily Woodside, Forest Hills, and Southold.
Dr. Fischer earned his bachelor of science in Biopsychology and Master’s degree in Molecular, Cellular,
and Developmental Biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He earned his medical degree
at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine, California, and completed an
Internal Medicine internship at Oak Hill Hospital, Florida.


Dr. Fischer served a 2-year research fellowship at the Center for Clinical and Cosmetic Research, in
Aventura, Florida, conducting over 20 FDA and investigator-initiated research trials, operating multiple
novel dermatological technologies, and completing over 10 publications. Dr. Fischer completed his
dermatology residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, NY, serving as academic chief resident and
authoring multiple academic papers discussing topics on cutaneous drug eruptions, ocular skin disease,
and complex dermatological cases.

Dr. Fischer treats children to adults, cosmetic conditions, and common to rare dermatological conditions
with an emphasis on complex medical dermatology and systemic manifestations of skin disease. He
treats acne, eczema, psoriasis, hair-loss, allergic and drug reactions, infections, skin cancer, warts,
among many other conditions. Dr. Fischer takes a comprehensive approach to dermatological care,
taking into consideration the entirety of patients’ health and psychosocial factors that impact well-
being, and performs a variety of procedures both cosmetic and surgical.

Dr. Fischer is a proud member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and American
Academy of Dermatology. He continues to contribute to research and education, mentors medical
students and dermatology residents, and lectures at conferences. Dr. Fischer speaks Spanish and enjoys
serving the diverse population of New York.
